That's why, even with an abundance of talented Northern 4A players returning this season, the Carson High junior is ready to take on all challengers. Obviously, the results sill aren't in, but at the very least, his confidence level is high right now. So is his focus.

Obviously, the Carson High boys tennis team was upbeat about winning its season home opener against Incline on Thursday afternoon. What particularly pleased coach Kevin Fallon, however, was the way the Senators picked up some clutch points that led to the 12-6 victory over the Highlanders.

Former Carson High soccer standout Brandon Briggs got the start in goal and went the distance for Boston University in its season opening 1-1 tie against Massachusetts on Wednesday night at Nickerson Field in Boston.
